macmon„client compliance Option“ helps ensure that all workstations attached to the corporate network comply with security requirements as specified by the administrator.

Non-compliant devices are detected by the macmon compliance agent and rule-based reactions are executed. Reactions may range from notifying the corresponding user and the administrator to an automatic exclusion of the noncompliant device.

Unsafe devices may be automatically switched to a remediation VLAN so as to be able to repair the faulty condition in a protected environment. After becoming compliant again, the previously excluded devices are automatically re-introduced into the productive environment.

macmon client compliance Option regularly checks the security-relevant settings of Windows clients. The included Compliance Agent runs locally on each workstation and carries out periodical checks on the workstation. To do this, the agent receives jobs from the macmon server, executes them and reports findings back to the server. These jobs may be modified at any time.

macmon client compliance Option thus supports the administrator in enforcing corporate security policies.
