mikado soft GmbH was founded in 2008 as an afiliate to mikado AG. It is dedicated to developing, maintaining and distributing IT security software.

The keystone product is the Network Access Control System macmon, initially developed in 2004 by mikado AG to meet rising security demands and an access control for IT networks. macmon to date has already been implemented  at over 200 corporate enterprises.

macmon was spun off from mikado AG to the new mikado soft GmbH, with the intention to fully concentrate on innovative development and successful distribution of the product.

mikado AG itself has specialised in IT security for over 25 years to date.
